ABOUT OUR PRESENTER

Professor Dru Laws, educator and rotomoulding expert, graduated from Brigham Young University in 2003 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and a minor in Mathematics. In 2005, he graduated top of his class with distinction (honours) from the Queens University of Belfast in Northern Ireland with an MSc in Polymer Engineering from their school of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering.

He has several rotomoulding related patents and has guest lectured at universities and learning institutions across the globe. Dru oversaw the development efforts for Chroma Corporation’s Centre of Excellence and was also the Director of Operations for Rotonics Manufacturing, as well as a Division Counsellor for the Society of Plastics Engineers.

Dru regularly contributes articles to plastic publications and participates as a presenter for many conferences worldwide. He has conducted and hosted several process workshops, helping manufacturers around the world better understand the principles of Manufacturing and Process Control. Dru published a 53-page technical resource guide on Rotational Foam Moulding, which is now in its second edition.

In 2014 Dru was recognised by Plastics News as one of the youngest rising stars in the entire plastics industry. Prior to being an executive for both Titan Tanks and Tango Manufacturing, he was Senior Vice President of Seljan Company, with direct responsibility over their plastics division. Dru served for two terms as the President of ARM and was recently inducted into their Hall of Fame.
